A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the switching node (SW pin) away from sensitive analog nodes and ensure good thermal conduction to the PCB ground plane.
Choose an output capacitor with low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and high capacitance. A 22μF to 47μF ceramic capacitor with X5R or X7R dielectric is recommended. Ensure the capacitor is rated for the output voltage and has a low ESL (Equivalent Series Inductance).
Use a 10μF to 22μF ceramic capacitor with X5R or X7R dielectric, placed close to the VIN pin. Ensure the capacitor is rated for the input voltage and has a low ESL.
Monitor the input voltage, output voltage, and junction temperature. Ensure the input voltage is within the recommended range (2.7V to 5.5V), the output voltage is within the specified range (0.8V to 3.3V), and the junction temperature is below 125°C.
