Coilcraft recommends a symmetrical layout with the inductor centered on the PCB, and using a solid ground plane to reduce radiation and improve shielding.
Use a soldering iron with a temperature of 250°C to 270°C, and apply a small amount of solder to the pads. Avoid applying excessive heat or pressure, which can damage the component.
The maximum current rating is 12.5A, but this can be affected by the operating temperature and other environmental factors. Be sure to derate the current accordingly.
The POE30P-12LD is rated for operation up to 125°C, but the inductance and current rating may be affected at higher temperatures. Consult the datasheet for derating information.
Use shielding, such as a metal can or a shielded enclosure, to reduce EMI. Additionally, ensure proper PCB layout and grounding to minimize radiation.
