  • RECOM recommends a PCB layout with a large copper area for heat dissipation, and a minimum of 2oz copper thickness. A thermal via array under the module can also improve heat dissipation.
  • Ensure that the input voltage is within the specified range, and that the input capacitance is sufficient to handle the inrush current. A soft-start circuit can also be used to reduce the inrush current.
  • The maximum allowed capacitance on the output is 220uF. Exceeding this value may cause instability or oscillation in the converter.
  • The R12P22005D/P is rated for operation up to 80°C ambient temperature. For higher temperatures, derating of the output power may be necessary. Consult the datasheet for derating curves.
