• What is the recommended PCB layout for optimal thermal performance of the R3BC?
  Bivar recommends a thermal pad on the bottom of the device, connected to a large copper area on the PCB to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.
• How do I ensure reliable soldering of the R3BC?
  Bivar recommends using a soldering iron with a temperature range of 250°C to 260°C, and a solder with a melting point of 180°C to 190°C. Avoid using excessive soldering time or temperature to prevent damage to the device.
• What is the maximum allowable voltage drop across the R3BC?
  The maximum allowable voltage drop across the R3BC is 2.5V. Exceeding this voltage drop may cause the device to overheat or fail.
• Can I use the R3BC in a high-frequency application?
  The R3BC is designed for low-frequency applications up to 100 kHz. Using it in high-frequency applications may cause the device to overheat or malfunction. Bivar recommends using a different device for high-frequency applications.
• How do I handle ESD protection for the R3BC?
