Use a voltage regulator or a DC-DC converter to regulate the input voltage to the recommended range of 10.5-13.5V. Additionally, ensure that the input voltage does not exceed the maximum rating of 15V to prevent damage to the module.
The maximum capacitance on the output depends on the specific application and the desired output voltage ripple. As a general rule, RECOM recommends a maximum capacitance of 100uF to prevent oscillations and ensure stable operation.
The RM-1215S is rated for operation up to 80°C ambient temperature. However, derating is required for temperatures above 60°C. Consult the datasheet for derating curves and ensure that the module is properly heat-sinked to prevent overheating.
To ensure EMC, RECOM recommends using a metal enclosure, proper grounding, and shielding of the module. Additionally, ensure that the module is placed at least 10mm away from any sensitive components or antennas to prevent electromagnetic interference.
