Kamaya Inc recommends a 4-layer PCB with a dedicated ground plane and thermal vias to dissipate heat. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended for the top and bottom layers. Additionally, a thermal pad with a minimum size of 10mm x 10mm is recommended for heat dissipation.
To ensure reliable operation in high-vibration environments, Kamaya Inc recommends securing the RMC1JPTE with screws or adhesive, and using a vibration-dampening material such as silicone or rubber between the device and the PCB. Additionally, the PCB should be designed with a rigid structure and minimal flexure to minimize the impact of vibrations.
The maximum allowable power derating for the RMC1JPTE is 20% at 85°C ambient temperature. Exceeding this derating may result in reduced performance, reliability, or even device failure.
The RMC1JPTE is designed to operate in environments with relative humidity up to 80%. However, Kamaya Inc recommends applying a conformal coating to the device and PCB to protect against moisture and humidity. Additionally, the device should be stored in a dry, cool place when not in use.
Kamaya Inc recommends using a combination of ESD protection devices, such as TVS diodes and resistors, to protect the RMC1JPTE from electrostatic discharge. The ESD protection devices should be placed as close as possible to the device pins and should be designed to handle the maximum expected ESD voltage.
