A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and away from each other to minimize noise and coupling.
Ensure the input voltage is within the recommended range (2.7V to 5.5V) and the output voltage is properly decoupled with a 10uF capacitor. Also, ensure the EN pin is properly biased to enable the device.
The maximum current rating for the output pins is 20mA per pin. Exceeding this rating may cause damage to the device.
The device has a thermal pad on the bottom. Ensure good thermal contact with the PCB or a heat sink to dissipate heat. Keep the device away from other heat sources and ensure good airflow.
Use a TVS diode or a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) with a voltage rating of 5.5V or higher to protect the device from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
