The recommended PCB layout and land pattern can be found in the Sunlord application note or by contacting their technical support team. Generally, a symmetrical layout with a solid ground plane and a thermal relief pattern for the thermal pad is recommended.
To avoid thermal damage, follow the recommended soldering profile and temperature limits. Use a soldering iron with a temperature range of 250-260°C, and ensure the soldering time is within 3-5 seconds. Also, use a solder with a melting point above 217°C.
Although the datasheet specifies an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, it's essential to note that the device's performance and reliability may degrade above 85°C. For optimal performance, it's recommended to operate the device within 25°C to 85°C.
During PCB assembly, apply a thin layer of thermal interface material (TIM) to the thermal pad. For rework, use a thermal pad removal tool or a soldering iron with a temperature range of 250-260°C to remove the TIM and any remaining solder.
Store the devices in their original packaging or in a dry, ESD-protected environment. Avoid exposing the devices to moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures. Handle the devices by the body, avoiding touching the pins or thermal pad to prevent damage.
