TMP101NAQDBVRQ1 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • The TMP101 can operate from -40°C to 125°C, but the accuracy specifications are only guaranteed from -20°C to 100°C.
  • The TMP101 defaults to 12-bit resolution. To configure it for 13-bit resolution, set the RES pin high during power-up. For 12-bit resolution, set the RES pin low or leave it floating.
  • The ADD pin is used to set the device address in multi-drop applications. Tie the ADD pin to VCC, GND, or leave it floating to set one of eight possible addresses.
  • The TMP101 outputs a 12-bit or 13-bit digital code that represents the temperature in Celsius. The formula to convert the code to temperature is: Temperature (°C) = (Code / 2^N) * 0.0625, where N is the resolution (12 or 13).
  • The TMP101 has a built-in POR circuit that resets the device after power-up. The POR timing is typically 10 ms, but can vary depending on the power supply ramp-up time.
