TMP119AIYBGR Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • The TMP119 can operate from -40°C to 125°C, but the accuracy specifications are only guaranteed from -20°C to 85°C.
  • To configure the TMP119 for remote temperature sensing, you need to connect the REXT pin to a resistor value between 1 kΩ and 10 kΩ, and the RTDIN pin to the remote temperature sensor. You also need to set the correct configuration registers to enable remote sensing.
  • The REXT pin is used to set the gain of the internal amplifier for remote temperature sensing. The value of the resistor connected to REXT determines the gain of the amplifier, which in turn affects the accuracy of the temperature measurement.
  • To calculate the temperature from the ADC output code, you need to use the following formula: Temperature (°C) = (ADC Code x Temperature Scale Factor) + Temperature Offset. The Temperature Scale Factor and Temperature Offset values can be found in the datasheet.
  • The default I2C address of the TMP119 is 0x49, but it can be changed to one of three other addresses by connecting the A0 pin to VCC, GND, or leaving it open.
