TQP9221 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the RF traces as short as possible and use 50-ohm microstrip lines. Avoid vias and thermal pads under the device.
  • Use a voltage regulator to set VCC to 3.3V. Set VBIAS to 2.5V using a resistive divider. Adjust the bias current to 10mA for optimal efficiency. Monitor the device temperature to prevent overheating.
  • Use a pi-network or a T-network for input matching. For output matching, use a series inductor and a shunt capacitor. Optimize the component values using a network analyzer or simulation software.
