Allegro MicroSystems ASEK-30 Sensor Programmer

Video Description

The ASEK-30 from Allegro MicroSystems is a multi-function programmer and sensor evaluation tool that serves as the key interface between a host PC and Allegro’s programmable sensor integrated circuits. Using Allegro-provided GUI software and DLLs, engineers can read from and write to the sensor’s registers, measure outputs, and perform calibration operations as part of evaluation and development.

The hardware platform supports a wide range of Allegro sensor products and built-in protocol support including Analog, PWM, SENT, SPI, I²C, and Manchester encoded communications, eliminating the need for additional controllers or debugging tools during basic measurement and programming tasks. This makes the ASEK-30 suitable for device characterization, firmware configuration, and sensor tuning in the lab environment.

A standard 2x25 (50-pin) interface provides the IO necessary to connect directly to the sensor under test, and coupled with available interface boards and breakout products, the system can adapt to many package types without requiring custom PCB design. The tool can also program multiple devices, which helps accelerate evaluation cycles for development teams.

Typical applications include prototype evaluation, device programming and parameter adjustment, functional testing, and support in algorithm development where real-time sensor data and configuration control are essential.
