Allegro Microsystems: ACS37610 Current Sensor

Video Description

The Allegro ACS37610 coreless current sensor is designed to provide accurate and cost-effective current sensing for a variety of automotive and industrial applications. Its differential hall sensing technology eliminates the need for large and expensive concentrator cores and shields, while providing contactless current sensing from DC to 250 kHz.

The sensor also offers programmability, which allows customers to optimize its performance for their specific application, and it has a wide programmable sensitivity range of up to +/- 40%. Additionally, it features low voltage digital communication through a dedicated prog pin and a dedicated over current and over temperature fault pin, which makes it ideal for safety-critical applications.

The ACS37610 coreless current sensor also provides excellent signal-to-noise ratio and diagnostic capabilities to help minimize measurement errors caused by mechanical assembly tolerances of the PCB. Its ability to sense both AC and DC current up to thousands of amps makes it suitable for a range of industrial applications, such as traction inverters, DC/DC converters, battery management systems, power distribution units, and more.
