ROHM recommends a 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a thermal relief pattern under the IC to improve heat dissipation. A minimum of 1 oz copper thickness is recommended for the PCB.
To ensure stable operation with a high-capacitance output capacitor, add a 1-2 ohm resistor in series with the capacitor to prevent oscillation. Additionally, ensure the capacitor's ESR is within the recommended range.
The maximum allowed voltage on the EN pin is 6.5V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the IC.
While the BD6232HFP-TR is rated for operation up to 125°C, it's essential to consider the IC's power dissipation and thermal management in high-temperature environments. Ensure proper heat sinking and thermal design to prevent overheating.
To troubleshoot output voltage instability or oscillation issues, check the PCB layout, output capacitor selection, and input voltage ripple.
