  • The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD before applying VREF. This ensures that the internal reference voltage is stable before the ADC starts converting.
  • To minimize noise and ensure accurate conversions, it is recommended to keep the analog and digital grounds separate, use a solid ground plane, and keep the analog input traces short and away from digital signals. Additionally, decouple the VDD and VREF pins with 0.1uF capacitors.
  • The maximum sampling rate of the AD7671ACPZ is 500 kSPS. As the sampling rate increases, the power consumption also increases. At maximum sampling rate, the power consumption is approximately 35 mW.
  • The AD7671ACPZ outputs 16-bit data in a serial format. The output data is in two's complement format, with the most significant bit (MSB) first. The data is clocked out on the SDO pin, and the clock frequency is equal to the sampling rate.
  • The SYNC pin is used to synchronize the conversion process with an external clock signal. When the SYNC pin is low, the ADC is in a low-power state.
