A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a star-grounding configuration and avoid routing digital signals near the analog inputs.
The ADR4550DEZ has an internal calibration circuit that sets the output voltage to 5.0V ± 0.1%. No external calibration is required. However, ensure that the input voltage is within the recommended range (7V to 16V) and the output is decoupled with a 10uF capacitor to minimize noise.
The ADR4550DEZ can supply up to 10mA of output current. However, the output voltage may droop if the output current exceeds 5mA. To maintain a stable output voltage, ensure that the output current is limited to 5mA or less.
The ADR4550DEZ has a built-in power-on reset (POR) circuit that ensures the output is disabled during power-up and power-down sequences. The output voltage ramps up slowly during power-up and ramps down slowly during power-down to prevent voltage spikes.
The ADR4550DEZ has a thermal shutdown temperature of 150°C. If the junction temperature exceeds this limit, the device will shut down to prevent damage. The device will automatically recover when the temperature drops below 150°C.
