Abracon recommends a symmetrical layout with the crystal oscillator placed near the center of the PCB, with minimal routing and no vias under the component. A ground plane under the component is also recommended.
Ensure the power supply is stable and has a low noise floor. Also, add a 10-100nF decoupling capacitor between VCC and GND near the oscillator. A slow power-up ramp can also help.
