  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate layer for the high-current paths is recommended. Keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC, and use short, wide traces for the high-current paths.
  • Use a thermal pad or a heat sink to dissipate heat. Ensure good airflow around the device, and avoid blocking the thermal pad. Monitor the junction temperature (TJ) and adjust the design as needed to keep TJ below 125°C.
