  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the power traces short and wide, and use a common ground point for the input and output capacitors.
  • Use a thermal pad or a heat sink to dissipate heat. Ensure good airflow around the device, and avoid blocking the thermal pad. Monitor the junction temperature (TJ) and adjust the design accordingly.
  • A 10uF to 22uF X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor is recommended. The capacitor should be placed as close to the VIN pin as possible, and its voltage rating should be at least 1.5 times the maximum input voltage.
