FDMA7670 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the thermal pad connected to the ground plane to improve heat dissipation.
  • Use a heat sink with a thermal resistance of 10°C/W or lower, and ensure good airflow around the device. Also, reduce the power consumption by optimizing the output current and voltage.
  • The maximum allowed voltage on the EN pin is 6V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
  • Use a shielded cable for the output, keep the output cable away from the input cable, and add a ferrite bead or common-mode choke to the output cable to reduce EMI.
  • A 10uF to 22uF X7R or X5R ceramic capacitor is recommended for the input. This value provides a good balance between filtering and stability.
