ISOW1044DFMR Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a 10nF capacitor between VCC and GND, and a 100nF capacitor between AVCC and AGND.
  • Use a common mode filter on the isolated side to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI). Ensure the isolated side is properly decoupled from the input side using a suitable isolation transformer or optocoupler.
  • The ISOW1044DFMR supports data rates up to 100 Mbps, but the actual data rate may be limited by the specific application and system design.
  • Power up the VCC pin first, followed by the AVCC pin. During power-down, turn off the AVCC pin first, then the VCC pin. Ensure a minimum of 10ms delay between power-up and power-down sequences.
  • The ISOW1044DFMR has a maximum junction temperature of 150°C. Ensure good thermal conduction by using a heat sink or thermal pad, and avoid overheating the device.
