  • A good PCB layout for the LTC4362 involves keeping the input and output capacitors close to the IC, using a solid ground plane, and minimizing the length of the input and output traces. A 4-layer PCB with a dedicated power plane and a solid ground plane is recommended.
  • Choose X5R or X7R ceramic capacitors with a voltage rating of at least 2x the maximum input voltage. The capacitance value should be at least 10uF for the input capacitor and 22uF for the output capacitor. The ESR of the capacitors should be less than 50mΩ.
  • The LTC4362 can operate in an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. However, the maximum junction temperature should not exceed 150°C.
  • The LTC4362 has a power-on reset circuit that ensures the IC is properly powered up. To power down the IC, the EN pin should be pulled low. It is recommended to add a 10kΩ pull-up resistor from the EN pin to VIN to ensure the IC is properly powered down.
  • The recommended input voltage range for the LTC4362 is 2.7V to 5.5V. However, the IC can operate with input voltages as low as 2.5V, but with reduced performance.
