To ensure proper biasing, connect the anode of the LED to a voltage source (e.g., 5V) through a current-limiting resistor (e.g., 1kΩ), and connect the cathode to the input signal.
The maximum allowable current through the LED is 60mA. Exceeding this limit may damage the device.
While the MOC3030 can operate at high frequencies, its performance may degrade above 100 kHz. For high-frequency applications, consider using a more specialized optocoupler.
