PS2701-1-P-A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a 10uF capacitor between VCC and GND, and a 100nF capacitor between AVCC and AGND.
  • Use a metal shield around the device, and ensure that the PCB layout is designed to minimize radiation. Use a common-mode choke or a ferrite bead on the power lines to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).
  • The maximum operating temperature range for the PS2701-1-P-A is -40°C to 125°C. However, the device may not function correctly above 85°C, and the accuracy of the output voltage may degrade.
  • The POR and BOR functions are enabled by default. To disable them, tie the POR/BOR pin to VCC. To use an external reset signal, connect it to the POR/BOR pin. Ensure that the reset signal is active-low and has a pulse width of at least 1us.
  • A 1uF to 10uF ceramic capacitor is recommended for the input capacitor. The capacitor should be placed as close to the VIN pin as possible, and the capacitor's ESR should be less than 1 ohm.
