SR2UARU Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital sections separate, and use a common mode filter to reduce EMI.
  • Follow the calibration procedure outlined in the application note AN5323. Perform a self-test and calibration after power-up, and repeat every 10 minutes or when the temperature changes by more than 10°C.
  • The maximum allowed voltage on the VDD pin is 3.6V. Exceeding this voltage can cause permanent damage to the device, including latch-up or even destruction.
  • The POR and BOR mechanisms are automatically enabled. Ensure that the power supply ramps up slowly (less than 10 ms) to avoid false resets. Use an external capacitor to filter the power supply and reduce noise.
  • The recommended clock frequency is 32 kHz. Deviating from this frequency may affect the accuracy of the measurements and the overall performance of the device.
