  • TI provides a recommended PCB layout in the datasheet (Figure 23) and in the TPS65148RHBR Evaluation Module documentation. It's essential to follow these guidelines to minimize noise, ensure proper thermal dissipation, and optimize performance.
  • The output capacitor selection depends on the output voltage, output current, and desired ripple voltage. TI recommends using a low-ESR capacitor with a minimum capacitance of 10uF. A higher capacitance can be used for improved ripple rejection and transient response.
  • The TPS65148RHBR has an absolute maximum input voltage rating of 18V. However, the recommended operating input voltage range is 4.5V to 15V. Exceeding the maximum rating can damage the device.
  • The TPS65148RHBR has built-in OVP and UVP features. OVP is set to 120% of the nominal output voltage, and UVP is set to 70% of the nominal output voltage. You can adjust these thresholds using external resistors (R_OVP and R_UVP) connected to the OVP and UVP pins.
