Apex Microtechnology recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane, and thermal vias under the device to dissipate heat. A thermal pad on the bottom of the device should be connected to a heat sink or a thermal interface material.
To ensure stability, Apex recommends using a minimum output capacitance of 10uF, and a maximum ESR of 1 ohm. Additionally, a 10nF capacitor in parallel with a 10uF capacitor can be used to filter out high-frequency noise.
