  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC, and use a Kelvin connection for the sense resistor.
  • Choose a sense resistor value that sets the current limit to the desired value. A higher sense resistor value will result in a lower current limit. Consult the datasheet for the recommended sense resistor values.
  • The EN (enable) pin is used to turn the device on or off. Connect EN to VIN to enable the device, or connect it to GND to disable it. You can also use a logic signal to control the EN pin.
  • The device will shut down if the junction temperature exceeds 150°C. Ensure good thermal design and heat dissipation to prevent overheating. If thermal shutdown occurs, the device will automatically restart when the temperature drops below 130°C.
  • Use a low-ESR ceramic capacitor with a value of 10uF to 22uF, rated for the input voltage. X5R or X7R dielectric types are recommended.
