  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use short, wide traces for power and ground connections.
  • Use a sense resistor with a low temperature coefficient and ensure it is properly calibrated. Keep the sense resistor close to the LTC2945 and use a 4-wire Kelvin connection to minimize errors. Also, ensure the sense resistor is properly bypassed with a capacitor.
